Busch Stadium Field Trip

Below are pictures from our tour!!!  The kiddos enjoyed getting to see the Redbird Club, the Broadcasting Booth, the Cardinal's Dugout, and many more....

One of our CAP classes was on Point of View.  The students learned how broadcasters announce a play using their point of view.  A Cardinal's broadcaster will sound more excited about a Cardinal's home run, where the broadcaster for the visitor's team won't sound as excited!  How can we use Point of View in our writing???  The kiddos had a chance to practice this, and then had a chance to write their own call.

Another CAP class, Sandlot Science, we used questions, predictions, investigations, collected data, and used results to make conclusions about how the angle of a baseball bat affects the direction a ball travels.

Last CAP class was Through the Years.  The students looked at the equipment, ticket prices, concessions and prices, and uniforms through the different eras in Cardinal's history.  3 stadiums the Cardinal's played at were Sportsmanship Park, Busch Stadium, and the new Busch Stadium.  What has changed over the years and why???
